Volunteers will be building a new mountain bike trail and will be moving rocks, constructing wooden features, and working on drainages. No experience is necessary and all tools will be provided.

About the event
Volunteers will help build a new bike trail and will be moving rocks, constructing wooden features, and working on drainages. This project is part of the larger Russian Jack Park Mountain Bike Trails Project that will be completed in 2024, building new beginner and intermediate mountain biking trails in this central park. Volunteers will meet at the Polar Bear Park parking area at 9:45 am for a safety briefing prior to the work.
What to bring: Rain gear, sturdy work/hiking boots, snacks, water, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses if you have them (if you don't have gloves/safety glasses they will be provided for the day).
What NOT to bring: Alcohol, drugs, children, pets, and firearms.
Notes: This is an easy hike where you will be carrying tools as well. Volunteers must be physically fit enough to complete this short hike to and from the work site and the full day of work.
