About the event
Alaska Trail Stewards volunteers will be hand finishing a new, intermediate level bike trail after it is cut by a mini-excavator. Volunteers will hike no more than 20 minutes on rolling terrain to reach the job site.
What to bring: Rain gear, sturdy work/hiking boots, snacks, water, sunscreen, bear spray, bug spray, toilet paper, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses if you have them (if you don't have gloves/safety glasses they will be provided for the day).
What NOT to bring: Alcohol, drugs, pets and firearms.
Directions: Take the Parks Highway to Wasilla, then Knik Goose Bay Road to Settlers Bay Drive. Settlers Bay Drive ends at our West parking area.
Notes: Volunteers must be 18 or older. Volunteers will hike no more than 20 minutes on rolling terrain to the job site. Volunteers must be physically fit enough to complete this hike and work a full day using hand tools.
